Whats the difference between ceramic and porecelain?
The major difference is in the technology behind their production. Porcelain has a more controlled manufacturing process. That results in greater density and durability over conventional ceramics. This Feature makes it more suitable for high traffic areas.
How to maintain tile floors?
Vacuum and dust regularly to prevent dust and dirt imbedding in your grout. Mop floors weekly with warm water to enhance your tiles color, and shine. (mild soap may be used. Finally clean up spills as soon as possible.
Do I need to seal my tile and grout?
Most ceramic and porcelain tiles have a non-porous coating and don’t need sealing. While all natural stone tile is porous and should be sealed every few years. A good way to tell if your stone needs sealed is to test it with a few drops of water if the stone adsorbs and water its time for a sealing. Not all grout needs sealing such as epoxy grout which is not porous. Some other Grout are modified with additives to make them moisture and stain resistant, but will need to be resealed over time. Freshly installed grout should be fully cured before sealing. To test if your grout needs sealed, again apply a few drops of water if grout absorbs water its time for a sealing.
